27-3507AA : NV3550 or AX15 5 Speed Installation Kit for the 1987 Jeep Wrangler with NP207

1.  Bellhousing To 4.2L 6 Cyl.
2.  Transfer Case Shifter Bracket
3.  Crossmember Adapter Plate
4.  New Process 207 Input Gear
5.  Square Style Shift Handle
6.  Slave Cylinder and Hose Kit

This transmission assembly is for Jeeps previously equipped with a Peugeot 5-speed transmission. This assembly fits Jeeps
from the years 1987-1989 with the New Process 207 transfer case. The overall length of the new transmission will be
within 1/4″ of the original Peugeot. NOTE: The transfer case shifter bracket and the crossmember adapter plate may not
work on Jeep Cherokees and Comanches. These components can be returned for credit and you may be required to
fabricate your own linkage and crossmember.

NOTE: The 1987 Jeep YJ did use a thicker flywheel than the 1988 and 89 models. The new bellhousing will not
work with this thicker flywheel (1.3125″). You can modify the thickness of the flywheel and or the release bearing;
however, we do offer a new flywheel for this 1987 YJ which will also require a new starter – see link below to order.

Note: Early model transmissions (2000-2002) will require a different shifter handle, we offer this handle as P/N
