|Bellhousing adapter (Adapts 4500 to stock Ford bellhousing w 4.848 index dia). In order for this Bellhousing adapter to work your current bellhousing must be no deeper than 7 inches and FOR BIG BLOCKS (400 & UP) NO DEEPER THAN 6.75". ALSO A PILOT BEARING WILL NEED TO BE MADE.||Included|

TECHNICAL NOTES: The bellhousing on the Ford engine must have the smaller 4.848″ bore. This adapter plate is not compatible with the larger 5.125″ bellhousing. The adapter plate is also not compatible with bellhousings that are longer than 7″. There are a few truck applications that use the extra deep bellhousings requiring a depth of 7 to 7-1/2″.
It may be necessary to grind the end of the new output shaft on the transmission to obtain the proper length.
